At fifteen I became a founding member of the Heidelberg Artists Society tutored by the wonderful Ernest Salter. Severe eye disease eventually threatened my vision and curtailed my artwork for ten years. At this point the wonders of science and the generosity of people turned my life around.

Experimentation with watercolour, ink, acrylics and oil mediums in classes run by a number of talented local artists followed. I particularly enjoy working with ink and watercolour and have lately been introduced to the very sympathetic medium of pastel. Exploration with the manipulation of these two mediums has absorbed me for the last two years.

I have been an active member of the Diamond Valley Artists Society and have resumed membership of the Heidelberg Artists Society. My participation in these groups has been encouraged through several awards and local sales of my work.

I am currently a member of The Nell Street Painters and have been greatly inspired by the vibrancy and enthusiasm of this group led by tutor Nell Frysteen. I take enormous pleasure in being able to see and appreciate beauty in the world and to express my delight in it creatively.
