| “What a magical way to discover the hidden beauty
in everything and everyone that we take for granted,” is what
I say about the gift of art. My curiosity becomes aroused with every millimetre that’s drawn, or painted, onto the paper or canvas. It’s truly an adventure as the creation of art comes to life using any chosen medium, and such a smorgasbord of rich colours to mix and play with. I’ve missed painting and drawing so much and am ecstatic to be back into it again. I become lost in the moment and feel quite relaxed as hours fly by while I’m in this addictive trance. It’s such an added bonus to have found a fine teacher as Nell Frysteen, and after having discovered more about her talents, I feel quite fortunate to have her as my tutor. I joined Nell St Painters in March 2008: Nell and fellow artists/colleagues continue to combine and share their ideas and experiences so readily without any reservations. This certainly helps cultivate my interest in art and further develop my talent in this field. I appreciate the different techniques that are shared in this group of amazing artists, and it feels so great to get those creative juices flowing once again. |
