As a woman with a family and working in a full time position, I was looking for an outlet. I decided to try my hand at china painting at night tutored by Trish Redman in Ivanhoe. Then to try something completely differnt - pastel painting with my close friend, artist Hannelore Pratt. We both enrolled in Thelma Cardwells classes for a time until her classes were cancelled.

Not knowing anything about Nell Frysteen, except that her classes were conducted at night, I enrolled with her and it has since proven to be one of the best decisions I have made.

My work focuses predominately on flowers, big cats and still life. One of the spare rooms in my home has been transformed into my little sanctuary known as “The Bunker” (Aka “The Room”) After much persuasion and reservation, I finally entered some of my work in a few shows in the Northern suburbs, where I have had some success. It was then I realized I wanted to pursue my hobby further. Since then I have entered pieces into:

I am now a member of the Diamond Valley Art Society and a Nell Street Painter.
