| I took up drawing and then painting classes,
some twenty years ago, as a recreation to balance my work as a Primary
teacher, it worked! After various classes with the CAE, Diamond Valley
Art Society and RMIT I discovered a brilliant artist/teacher Nell
Frysteen. From Nell I have learned technique, the brilliance of colour
and the intricacies of light. In addition I have formed wonderful
friendships within the class and look forward to our weekly painting
nights.
I have been exhibiting in group exhibitionsfor the last10 years,
most recently with the Nell Street Painters and find that the challenge
of exhibiting and the excitement of selling a painting provide me
with motivation – but I still paint foremost for my personal
pleasure and relaxation. I paint a wide variety of subject matter
and am happy to take on commissions. |
